My Community, My World: Explore, connect, create

Welcome to our classroom geography projects, During this project students will become young geographers as they explore their commu ity and discover how people places, and the environment are connected students will investigate maps, neighborhoods , landmarks , transportation natural features and community resources. They will use what they learn to create a project that demonstrates their understanding of geography.

PBL allows children to investigate meaningful question, make choice create something ans share what they leanred, instead of simply memorizing geographic vocabulary, students apply concepts by something create something and share what they learned, Instead of memozing vocabulary , students apply concepts by creating apply concepts by creating something connected to their own lives.

week 2- Students choose a topic and begin researching, drawing , building , photographing or creating their project

week 3- Students finish their projects and practice explaining what they learned
